Oh, New Orleans.
There are no words to express how much I love you. Your wonderful food, great music, and incredibly kind people make it one of my very favorite places I’ve ever visited.
You know how to have a good time, and you don’t take yourself too seriously. You’re my kind of place.
We have friends here in Dallas who recently relocated from New Orleans, and they gave us incredible recommendations for food, drinks, and fun things to do. We ate beignets and drank chicory coffee at Cafe Du Monde, listened to live music at the many jazz clubs that dot Frenchmen Street, ate the most delicious poboy from Verti Marte, and sipped killer cocktails at just about every bar in town.
It was the most fun we’ve had on a weekend trip in a very, very long time. It’s a city I can see myself revisiting over and over again.
We stayed at an adorable B&B in the Treme neighborhood called La Belle Esplanade. The hosts were lovely, and we recommend it highly.
