Fort Worth Interiors Photography: New Work for Travis Pernell Interiors

The diner’s perspective of the dining room I photographed for Travis Pernell Interiors. I wanted a view that would serve as a window into what it would look and feel like dining here with loved ones and friends during holidays and special occasions. It ended up being one of my favorite photos from the session.

When Travis from Travis Pernell Interiors inquired with me last October to obtain more information about my Dallas Fort Worth Interior Design Photography Services, availability and pricing, I knew it would be a great collaboration.

Originally raised in Virginia, Travis began his design career shortly after leaving the U.S. Air Force in 2019. Tasked with redecorating his own living space, he realized he loved the interior design process all along, and made the decision to shift gears and launch an entirely new career. He promptly enrolled in design school and began servicing clients across multiple states.

In 2021, Travis made the move to Texas and rebranded his Interior Design Firm, Travis Pernell Interiors. He now services clients across Dallas and beyond, with projects and collaborations spanning multiple states. He’s won awards for his design work, and his projects range from cosmetic residential updates to full-scale home remodels. He describes his design style as modern with a nod to traditional design elements.

Travis surprised me the morning of our photo shoot with an assortment of hydrangeas and eucalyptus, floral vases, dinner plates, plenty of serving ware, two sets of wine glasses and some white linen napkins. We hadn’t talked much about styling beforehand, but I always meant to reach out to him about it. I’m so glad he trusted his instincts and brought some styling items with him to the session, because incorporating props like the ones seen above are so incredibly important to creating beautiful interior photography.

My task this day was photographing this stunning formal dining room area. The chandelier was already part of the space, and when the homeowners hired Travis for the design he was tasked with the job of bringing it all together, and he definitely brought the magic.

Travis added the wainscoting on the lower walls, and topped it off with the wallpaper (which had this really modern graphic print, but in a metallic finish that transferred light beautifully across the room). He also had crown moulding installed around the top of the walls, he sourced beautiful statement art, designed and installed the drapery panels and window treatments, anchored the space with a beautiful area rug, and topped the entire design off with a large wooden table, nailhead upholstered chairs, and modern bowls topped with moss.

A wide angle view of entire dining area and all of its beautiful features. Travis added the wainscoting, metallic wallpaper with a graphic print, window treatments, area rug, and all the furniture, art, and accessories.

This finished dining room space is utterly elegant, modern and traditional in design, and incredibly luxurious. His clients love the space and he did such a beautiful job creating this special area for them to gather and spend time together. Some of my favorite memories were created in dining rooms like this surrounded with loved ones and friends and great food.

The family loved how we styled the dining table for the photo shoot. I hope they loved the finished photos as much as I do.
