ABOUT/CONTACT

A woman in a black blazer is taking a photograph in front of a mirror using a camera on a tripod. She is holding a tablet in her left hand and appears to be setting up her shot. There is a large potted plant, a blank canvas on an easel, and a framed portrait of a man on the wall in a well-lit, minimalist room.

Feel The Fear and Do It Anyway

Isn’t that what creating art is all about?

I’m Stacy, a Dallas-based interior and brand photographer with an unconventional path. Photography is my encore career, and I never looked back.

With a background in hospitality sales and a deep technical toolkit, I bring calm, clarity, and organization to every shoot. From prep to post, I’m all in, scouting light, crafting compositions, guiding styling, building the right creative team, and collaborating like a true partner.

Clients come to me for the clean lighting, editorial polish, and obsessive attention to detail. But they come back because I make their work feel seen, celebrated, and captured exactly how they dreamed it.

My Creative Ethos (Rooted in a Little Philosophy and a Lot of Practice)

This business began with two simple beliefs: that creativity thrives in a kind, collaborative space, and that a good life is one lived in service to others.

I started this photography studio to offer more than beautiful images. I wanted to create a thoughtful, supportive experience that empowers my clients to grow, be seen, and shine like the stars they are.

My goal is to help your business thrive. To make your work visible. To craft imagery that reflects your talent so the right clients find you. Your success story is the one I love to tell.

Photography is my medium to do exactly that.

The Things That Color My Life

lifestyle photo of stacy markow, a former sommelier turned commercial photographer

01. CERTIFIED SOMMELIER, HOSPITALITY HEART

Before photography, I spent decades in hospitality, poaching eggs for 200+ brunch-goers, pouring grand cru Burgundy for buyers, and falling head-over-heels for the world of food and wine.

It was my first love, and it still shows up in the way I host, create, and obsess over detail.

(Also: I throw a mean dinner party.)

Ancient ruins with three tall, fluted columns and scattered broken stone pieces, set against a cityscape with historic buildings and trees under a partly cloudy sky.

02. IF I COULD TRAVEL FOREVER, I WOULD

Homeownership is great and all... but give me a suitcase, a Eurail pass, and an open itinerary and I’m gone.

Travel is my favorite form of inspiration, especially when it involves my husband, good wine, and visiting the friends who all moved to Europe.

(Seriously, was there a group memo about Portugal I missed?)

03. I LOVE TO LEARN

When something sparks my curiosity, I go all in, like, deep-dive, late-night-research, take-all-the-courses kind of in.

Whether it’s the latest lighting technique or a new piece of gear, I’m always chasing mastery (and yes, occasionally making my credit card weep in the process).

04. TRUFFLE OIL IS CULINARY PATCHOULI

Overused, overpowering, and usually unnecessary.

Unless it’s on french fries. Then I’m suddenly a believer.
