Florida Retreat

Organic Texture. Sculptural Warmth. Coastal Reimagined.

This personal Florida renovation by Nikki Chu redefines coastal living through a more elevated, design-forward lens, trading predictable beach house motifs for layered neutrals, sculptural forms, and rich natural texture. Wanting the condo to feel light and airy while still grounded and cozy, Nikki approached the project as an exploration of what coastal design could look like through her own distinctive point of view.

The foundation for the entire home began with a dramatic Italian Ceppo marble slab sourced from Ann Sacks, whose organic movement and muted tonal variation inspired the palette carried throughout the condo. Soft woods, warm stone, creamy textiles, and matte finishes create a calm, tonal atmosphere, while bold material moments give the interiors depth and personality.

Throughout the home, Nikki incorporated custom elements from her own collections and collaborations, including signature wallpaper patterns, layered tile designs, and sculptural details that bring cohesion to each space. Statement lighting, curved furnishings, and textured surfaces soften the modern architecture, creating interiors that feel simultaneously relaxed, refined, and deeply personal.

The result is a warm contemporary retreat that feels sophisticated, inviting, and unmistakably Nikki Chu.
